Reiki-Energy Therapy
Reiki I April 26th and 27th

Reiki is a simple, yet powerful Eastern Medicine healing technique. According to the National Institutes of Health, Reiki is classified as “Biofield Medicine”, which involves systems that use subtle energy fields in and around the body for medical purposes.”  Reiki has been in use in the United States since the 1930’s. Reiki is a touch therapy and relaxation technique and one of the fastest growing forms of Energy Medicine around the world.

Reiki uses non- invasive techniques, which encourages the relaxation response. The “relaxation response,” can diminish anxiety, pain, nausea and fatigue, and can enhance the healing process. The physiological changes resulting from the “relaxation response” can boost the function of the immune system and increase a sense of well – being.

Participants will receive the Reiki attunement which will allow them to channel the Reiki energy. Experiential, hands-on opportunities will be provided to truly understand and experience Reiki healing. In this hands-on class you will learn the traditional Usui system of Reiki and have the option to continue on and learn advanced energy medicine techniques that include Reiki II and III.

Reiki is one of the fastest growing forms of Energy Medicine around the world. Hospitals such as, Yale - New Haven Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, George Washington University Hospital, Cleveland Clinicare, are incorporating it into their roster of patient services, often with their own Reiki-trained physicians, nurses and support staff.

Kate and Allan embrace a multidimensional approach to life and when working with clients. They believe that anything is possible in healing. They recognizes the difference between "curing" and "healing", affirming that while "curing" cannot always occur; "healing" is always possible. Allan and Kate support the broadest possible definition of healing, "to become whole" acknowledging that the experience of wholeness is available regardless of any situation or circumstance.

Kate has used energy based therapies to help people with a variety of situations, such as arthritis, cancer, post-traumatic stress disorder, lymphedema, chronic fatigue, pre and post surgery, heart disease, sexual abuse, fibromyalgia, diabetes and more.

Kate is co-founder and co-director of Pennsylvania School of Spiritual Healing.  She is also director of student and public clinic. Since the creation of the public clinic the students of the
school under the direct supervision of Kate have given over 350 free sessions.

Allan Clark has practiced and taught Reiki, Master Alignment, and has been a Polarity Therapy practitioner, a hypnotherapist, and uses these and other modalities in his healing practice.
